This year I made it a goal to read a bunch and I have been going in spurts where I read a ton and then where I barely read! BUT, I still have a few that I finished this year that I can’t recommend enough and then some that I have yet to read! If you’re a book nerd like me you’ll love this list to use to build your own or get book ideas! In addition, I want to share with you an app I now use that I love and is a book lovers DREAM.
Books I’ve Read
The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides
I genuinely cannot believe the ending. I had to reread a couple of times. WHAT. Best thriller of 2019 is right!!
Emma in the Night by Wendy Walker
This one was good, not the best book i’ve read but I definitely didn’t expect the ending which is always a thriller plus!
All The Missing Girls by Megan Miranda
Again, this one was good but wasn’t my most favorite thrillers! I wasn’t sitting on the edge of my seat or anything but it was good!
The Woman in the Window by A.J. Finn
So good! I thought I had it all figured out only to be genuinely SHOCKED in the last few chapters.
The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware
This one was so suspenseful and I genuinely had no idea how that ending was going to play out!!
Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn
This one was really good actually! Gillian Flynn is a great author so I wasn’t too shocked!
Books I Want to Read
Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens
I’m actually currently reading this right now and it’s a little slow but my mom said it was good so i’m going to keep reading it!
The Turn of the Key by Ruth Ware
In a Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware
The Last Time I Lied by Riley Sager
Final Girls by Riley Sager
Sometimes I Lie by Alice Feeney
Dark Places by Gillian Flynn
The Shining by Stephen King
The Lying Game by Ruth Ware
Anything Nora Roberts (I legit buy one every single time I go to a second hand store, it’s an addiction)
If you have some thriller or romance suggestions leave them below! I am OBSESSED WITH THEM! Now the app I use is goodreads and it keeps track of the books I have read and want to read which is really helpful for me! Plus, you can get “suggested” books or learn about the trending books of a certain genre at the moment! Honestly it’s a pot of gold for any book lovers!
